Holiday Inn Brighton Wedding Photography – Steph & Dan

Wedding Stories

Steph & Dan at Holiday Inn, Brighton – a wedding photojournalism approach.

I love Brighton. Yes, I also love the seaside too – but there’s a particular buzz and a vibe about Brighton that seems to entice a lot of creativity out of people.  So when Steph and Dan asked me to be their Brighton wedding photographer  I literally jumped at the chance – especially as it was going to be in the Holiday Inn on the seafront.

Now if there’s one thing I love as a wedding photojournalist it’s real and genuine moments, especially emotional ones.  You can stage and set-up lots of things during a wedding day but you can’t just create genuine emotions. So you have to simply react to emotional moments as they happen naturally – something that wedding photojournalism is very adept at.  And, boy, was there a lot of emotion on display at Steph and Dan’s wedding!

It started with tears at the bridal preparations in the morning.  Then the bride cried her way through a lot of the ceremony. Come the wedding speeches bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride and even the father-of-the-groom were shedding tears. During the evening it was tears of laughter – particularly over the caricatures drawn by the very talented cartoonist.  It was pure emotional gold for a wedding photojournalist like me.

It was an emotional wedding for all and I doubt anyone who was at the Brighton Holiday Inn that day will ever forger it!

Documenting The Real Story Of Your Wedding. Never Dictating it.

My Wedding Stories show you a chronological selection of photos from throughout a REAL wedding day, rather than just images specially selected for a portfolio (us photographers love to do that.)  After all, your wedding photography should be about your entire day rather than the very best images from the day.  I hope this not only gives you a feel of a whole wedding day but also demonstrates how my wedding photojournalism captures the natural moments, candid emotions and real events of the day – without the need to set up or stage fake moments.

If you are getting married and enjoy my documentary wedding photography approach, then I’d really love to chat to you about your plansDrop me a line here.
